Albion is the codename for the ARM IOC, the I/O controller used in the Acorn Archimedes series workstations.
This chip was found to be faulty and removed from an Acorn Archimedes workstation.

This is the only Acorn ARM series chip with chip-art, a [[https://siliconprawn.org/map/vlsi-technology/vl2311-albion/philpem_mz_ms10x/#x=2768&y=9703&z=6|crying eye in a triangle]] reminiscent of the "all-seeing eye". This is probably a pun on the name of the chip, "IOC" or I/O Controller.
